The Breast Cancer Awareness Symposium began as a vision of a survivor.

I had just completed my chemo, surgery, and radiation when I was invited to a program in Enterprise, Alabama which was a day of education on women’s health and especially targeting breast cancer.

At this program I saw a need for this type of education in our area.  I contacted Jackson Hospital and Jackson County Health Department and we accomplished our first Symposium in five weeks with about 100 in attendance.

Since October 2005 the rest is history as we are planning for this years Symposium with Dr. Clara Falkson, Professor and Doctor of Oncology at UAB. Dr. Debra Goodpaster, Surgeon at Jackson Hospital, Marianna will also be a speaker.

This Symposium is an evening the attendees will never forget as we provide FREE of charge a salad supper served individually to each person in a room filled with pink. We have had many people contact us to tell us that the info received saved their lives.
