Chipley High School Senior Tabitha Simone Shumaker will be presented the Washington County Arts Council $500 Fine Arts Scholarship for her winning essay, “Music is Everything”, at Senior Awards Night.  Ms. Shumaker, during her high school career, has been part of band and drama, playing the clarinet, the bass clarinet and marching in the Color guard where she was Captain her Senior Year.  She has also sung in several musical dramas staged at Chipley High School.  Ms. Shumaker plans on attending Chipola then a University dreaming to eventually study Voice at Julliard in New York City and plans a career in singing and songwriting.
