drives Terry Ellis

As a community we
must ensure our
children are
prepared to face the

graduating from the
Washington county
school system, our
children should be
capable and prepared
to enter the
workforce or move on
to a higher level of
education. Ellis is
committed to making
sure Washington
County schools have
done everything
possible to help our
children succeed.
As a father of three
children, each of
whom is graduated
with high honors
from Washington
County schools,
Terry Ellis knows
the stakes involved
with education. It
isn't a theoretical
conversation, It's
real life. Terry
Ellis truly believes
that our children
deserve a clean,
safe and structured
school environment

excellent
educational
experience. Each one

children to move

want our schools to

Working twenty-five
years with WestPoint
Home, Ellis knows
the importance of
possessing usable
jobs skills in a
highly competitive,
global market. No
longer do Washington
county students
merely have to
compete for jobs
locally, they must
vie for jobs with
young people across
the globe. Their job
training is based on
the skills learned
in public school.
Terry Ellis wants to
introduce new
curricula and
utilize existing
resources to train
specific skills
relating to
technical,
mechanical and
medical career
opportunities.
As general manager
of two facilities
for WestPoint Home.
Ellis manages a
workforce of close
to six
hundred people.
Ellis works with
budgets, manages
capital projects,
and is responsible
for long-term
planning. These
skills are needed to
tackle the
challenges facing
our school
district. The
tremendous
potential growth in
the south end of the
county and budgetary
constraints must be
addressed. Terry
Ellis is the
